In July 2014, Blendspace was acquired by TES Global and was rebranded for several years as TES Teach (with Blendspace). In late 2020, TES discontinued hosting the platform and transferred Blendspace user data back to the original founding team to manage a migration. Following the transition, the standalone tool ceased active development and faded from mainstream classroom use
